VGA to COMPONENT Converter

VGA to COMPONENT Converter

A few months ago we introduced a “Help Me” form below our Cable Selection Guide for folks who couldn’t figure out which product they needed to connect their PC to their TV.  The form proved hugely popular, and we were inundated with requests from folks looking for assistance.  One of the things that we learned from this customer assistance request form is that lots of folks have older televisions (including older HD projection-type TVs) with COMPONENT video inputs.

COMPONENT video offers a higher quality than s-video or composite because the following YPbPr signals are separated:  Y carries luminance (brightness); Pb carries the difference between Blue and luminance (B-Y); and Pr carries the difference between Red and luminance.  Green can be derived from the Blue and Red signal information.  Unlike composite and s-video, COMPONENT video can support very high video quality including  480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p.  Check your TV user manual to see if it supports high-definition video (720p and above).

We were suprised to see that so many folks have these older TVs with COMPONENT video.  And we immediately understood that there was a large hole in our product lineup.  So today we are proud to offer our VGA to COMPONENT PC to TV Converter.

Our VGA to COMPONENT converter works great and can provide output resolutions of 480p, 720p (looks the best) and 1080i.  Simply press the SD/HD button on the front of the converter to scroll through the different output resolutions and see what looks best.  This converter accepts the following common PC input resolutions: 1280×1024, 1280×800, 1024×768, 800×600 and 640×480.

We include either our 15′ or 25′ VGA with Stereo Audio cable with this converter so that you’ll have everything you need to connect your PC to your TV.  We also include a set of RCA-type audio cables since most older televisions do not accept the 3.5 mm audio plug found on our VGA cable.  The converter accepts the 3.5mm audio input and converts it to common RCA (red and white) stereo audio outputs.

VGA to HDMI PC to TV Converter

VGA to HDMI PC to TV Converter

Most, but not all new HDTVs are equipped with a “PC Input” which is the same as a standard PC VGA monitor connection.  If you have a VGA connection on your TV you can simply use our VGA with Stereo Audio cable and bring the Internet to your television.  However not everyone is so lucky.

If your HDTV does not have a “PC Input,” all is not lost.  Perhaps you have a new PC with an HDMI output.  If so,  you can use our HDMI PC to TV cable.  Now the good news - we now carry an affordable VGA to HDMI Converter which will allow you to connect any PC to any HDTV.  We package this new converter with everything you need - including a 3′ HDMI to HDMI cable (connnects the converter to your HDTV) and either our 15′ or 25′ VGA with Stereo Audio cable (connects your PC to the converter).

Our VGA with Stereo Audio cable carries both high-definition video and stereo audio to the converter which converts the signals to digital format.  The result is high-definition video and stereo audio on your HDTV.

We are now sourcing our converter products directly from the manufacturer which means that we can offer you a very competitive price.  If you are shopping around for a PC to TV converter keep in mind that only PCTVCables.com sells converters packaged together with our custom video-and-audio-in-one cables.   When you receive your converter you will have everything you need to bring the Internet to your television.
